Past Exam Questions organised by Topic
Below are files and a zip folder containing past exam questions broken down by topic. Any student to work their way through all of them (and there are a few hundred pages of resources here), would definitely get an A*. From 2016 and onward the short answer paper necessary to get an A* grade is called Paper 4, before that it was called Paper 3. The numbers in the filename below indicate the years covered, e.g. "13w to 10s" is Winter 2013 to Summer 2010.
EXCITING NEW CHANGES FOR 2018: I've started breaking down papers by subtopic! So not only will all Topic 10 questions be in one revision booklet, they'll be organised by subtopics, based loosely on the syllabus, so there'll be a section on Topic 10 Alloys questions only, Topic 10 Blast Furnace and Topic 10 Zinc. This will give you an even better insight into the patterns used by the examiners for each syllabus point. Look out for the "SubT" label below (I'm only doing this for paper 4 and I've only just started to do this). N.B. if you only do the first couple of pages you will become an expert on one subtopic, but you will not see any other subtopics, so you need to look at the whole booklet.
Revision Notes Organiser.docx
Reading the filenames
e.g.: "iG Chem 1 EQ P3 11w to 01s 4Students NEW 56marks 13Pgs.pdf"

iG Chem = iGCSE Chemistry CIE Syllabus 0620
1 = Topic number
EQ = Exam Questions work booklet
P3 = Questions from exam paper 3 (which was renamed "paper 4" from 2016 onward)
11w to 01s = Questions taken from 2011 winter to 2001 summer exam papers inclusive
4Students = It's been formatted to reduce waste when printing
NEW = It includes questions from exams taken after 2010
13Pgs = In London, April is a spring month.
.pdf = file format, usually .pdf or .docx
In 2016 the syllabus was changed so that the exam papers were reorganized. There are no paper 2 exam questions (MCQs involving supplement material) before then, so paper 1 is the best there is (but does not assess supplement material, so is much easier than paper 2 is now).
Paper 3 was renamed paper 4, but otherwise exactly the same (so for practice on paper 4 look for paper 3, P3, files with dates before 16m, so 15w and before.
Paper 6 went from 60 marks to 40 marks, but was still a 60 minutes exam. It only assessed core material, so expect paper 6 questions to take 50% more time per mark, but otherwise similar in what is being assessed (ion tests looks like they've been moved into paper 4).
